Lucky Gumbi famously known as Somk is a KZN mining magnate and polygamist. Somk is also involved in transportation of coal and the construction business.

Somk became popular when he trended on Social Media for spending R260 000 for his second wife’s bridal shower. He is married to two women, Bayede Cebekhulu Gumbi who’s 30 years old and is his first wife. He’s also married to his second wife, Nombuso Malinga Gumbi who’s 24 years old and Somk spent R4 million on their glamorous and over the top wedding ceremony.

Somk and his whole family have since secured the bag and landed themselves a reality show called, “The Gumbi’s” on SABC 1, DSTV’s channel 191. The show airs every Saturday on SABC 1 at 6pm.

The reality show was on yesterday and Somk and his wife, Nombuso went to visit a famous fashion designer, Orapeleng Modupe.

However, the pair ended up not finding Orapeleng in but instead found some of his staff who offered their assistance to them.

While one of Orapeleng’s staff was assisting the pair, he asked them if they liked the new Dj Tira song and that’s when Somk mentioned that he wasn’t a fan of Dj Tira and even revealed some interesting and juicy stuff about the famous Dj.

Somk mentioned that before he got married to any of his wives, he used to host gigs around Durban and called on many Djs to entertain at his gigs. One of those Djs was now the famous Dj and businessman Dj Tira.

Dj Tira used to perform at those gigs as well but now he’s apparently an arrogant guy as he sees himself better than others, Somk mentioned on his reality show. He went on to also mention that when he pumps into Tira in a lot of places, Tira likes to act like he doesn’t know him and just ignores him until both of them leave that place. He states that Dj Tira only pays attention to him when he has a woman accompanying him as Tira is fascinated a lot with woman.

He ended off by stating that Dj Tira doesn’t respect a lot of people including his fans which is really sad.

Like I mentioned above, Somk and his wife, Nombuso went to see a famous fashion designer, Orapeleng Modupe.

While on their visit there for a consultantion, Nombuso decided to do a live video on Instagram and one of Nombuso’s Instagram followers made a nasty comment about Somk’s clothing.

They stated that Somk’s Versace’s sweater was fake but Somk clapped back at the Instagram user and he mentioned that, “If you don’t know an item from a certain brand well that doesn’t mean that it is fake!” He continued to rant to the Instagram user and also mentioned that he only wears original stuff and doesn’t wear anything that’s fake.

He slammed the Instagram user by stating that, how can someone who can’t afford to buy himself bread be saying that people wear fake stuff while they don’t even know anything about them. Somk was very much heated and rubbed his riches in that Instagram user’s face.

The show also showed The Gumbi family going out to make groceries and showed Somk bragging once again. He bragged about how his wives are the ones that do the groceries and that they are the ones that pay using his bank of course.

After doing their groceries, the family was shown in a convoy of expensive cars going to visit Somk’s mother. Somk mentioned that he also has his own property in the small estate that he built for his mom. The family hosted a young chillas/braai until the sun set.
