After having a stroke, Lira’s recuperation has not been simple, but she is improving, and she has the support of her fans at every turn.

Over the weekend Lira performed at the RMB Starlight Classics in Johannesburg. She was a guest at the event and was persuaded to perform with Sunnyboy Vincent Dladla and Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha.Lira said she has trouble speaking clearly, but she tries, and she hasn’t yet started up her singing career again.

She took to social media to share her performance and spoke about her healing journey.

“This was so surreal. I was keen to try – but I did it 🥰👌🏾. I had the awesome voices of @sunnyboy.dladla and @masabane_cecilia_rangwanasha who supported me. “

“There’s still a long way to go before I can sing on my own , let alone sing at a full concert- but this a very positive step in my recovery. I’ve been singing to loosen up my tongue, it has helped to speak better and I do it as part of my recovery
