Beauty queen Melinda Bam was crowned Miss SA back in 2011.
She also held the Miss Tropika and Miss Waterkloof titles.
The beauty queen was also the last blonde woman to be crowned Miss SA.
During her reign as Miss SA, she was set to compete at the Miss World pageant, but according to Briefly, she withdrew. The then “first princess” Remona Moodley went on to represent SA at the international pageant. Bam was said to not be taking part due to “personal reasons”. However, rumours began to swirl surrounding the circumstances on why she withdrew from the pageant.
She went on to become a television personality including Pasella on SABC 2, among others.Melinda is now a mom. She welcomed her first child with Adriaan this year.

“But thís… this is something more, it’s something holy – sacred,…this is love. Yes, we’ve gone into hiding the last three weeks. We wanted to drink in every moment and view it through our awe-struck teary eyes,” she wrote.

According to her Instagram bio, she is also a motivational speaker and MC as well as an entrepreneur.
