Lady Du’s mother’s day weekend turned sour when her family drama played out on social media to see. The drama started when her father, a well-known DJ, and musician, took to social media to call her out as a liar for saying she grew up struggling. Her father got emotional in the video calling his daughter obscene names, saying he gave birth to a dog and did everything to give his daughter a good life.

According to social media, Lady Du grew up in the East Rand in Spruitview. Spruitview is one of the upmarket areas in the township and went to the best schools.

Some users who claim to have attended school with her say she even drove an expensive car at school.

She attempted to save herself by asking those who claim to know to prove she lived a comfortable life, but she has since deleted that post.

DJ Choc runs his music studios in the East Rand, and he is also a music producer, working with the likes of DJ Cleo and more.

Lady Du, whose real name is Dudu Ngwenya, has also responded to her father’s outburst online, saying he is reacting like this because he is jealous since she has decided to build a relationship with her mother. Ngwenya says she bought her mother a card for mother’s day.

The Amapiano hitmaker made it clear that no one should try to keep her away from her mother.

The plot thickens, though; Lady Du’s stepmother Sandy Ngwenya has also come into the picture. She explained how the whole thing came about on her Facebook page. She said DJ Choc reached out to his daughter after getting snubbed in front of his colleague, but Dudu ignored his call for help and told him she was busy preparing a mother’s day gift for her mom.

 

 

Sandy said that Choc was hurt, she said the video he made was supposed to be private, but someone leaked it. She also acknowledged that Choc used inappropriate language to address his child. She shared a screenshot of the exchange between Lady Du and her father. Lady Du’s father tells her to change her surname and marry herself in the message.

The musician cannot keep her name out of controversy lately; a few weeks ago, she had a very public fight online with her ex-boyfriend, who also called her out for having a bad attitude.
