A Kwaito singer who made a name for himself among kwaito lovers, L’vovo Derrango, has decided to withdraw from the much-anticipated event in Durban, the Cotton Festival, which will be held on 2 July.
A statement sent by his company Yephela Entertainment says, “These months have been difficult in my life, I felt I should take care of myself by putting my health first. I appreciate the support from my fans as well as friends. I keep in touch with my doctor, who advised me to take things slowly until I recover completely,” said L’vovo in a statement.
He said that after this long discussion with his doctor, he decided to withdraw from the Cotton Festival. L’vovo, who is famous for songs like Bayangisukela, Resista, Inomila and others, apologized to his fans for his decision. “I wish the whole event would go well,” L’vovo concluded.
L’vovo was in a car accident and suffered a stroke, he is recovering at home.
