Kwaito legend turned back from AKA’s memorial service

The Sandton Convention Centre played host to a memorial event in honor of AKA, which was staged to honour his legacy. People such as Londie London, Robert Marawa, Prince Kaybee, Thando Thabethe, Costa Titch, Blxckie, Nandi Madida, Tresor, Mr. Selweyn, Ma-E, Ntokozo ‘TK’ Dlamini, L-Tido, Zulu Mkhathini, Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi, Rouge, and others were among those who attended the event.

Mdu Masilela was a legendary figure in the Kwaito music scene in the 1990s. He was also a producer. Mdu lost his patience when he saw that other persons who arrived after him, such Robert Marawa, Gemini Major, were being catered to and handed tags to join the arena. Mdu had been there first. On the other hand, he was among the first celebrities to show up at the location first.

This should not have happened. A good half an hour has passed while I’ve been standing in line for a tag, and now some of the folks who arrived after me are being allowed entry into the event. He said, “I’m not complaining, but I am telling facts, and the folks who were behind me were never asked anything; they just looked them in the face and allowed them to come in.” “I’m not complaining, but I am presenting facts.”

Even though he said AKA will understand that he came to his memorial to pay his last respects, the personnel who were in charge of people entering the memorial did not let him in. He needed to focus on other matters at the time.
