πππ ππ ππππ Zimdollar Biyela aka Matron Nkabinde (Durban Gen)
Zimiphi “Zimdollar”Happiness Biyela who is also a singer and actress. She was born and bred in a dusty rural area of eNdabazensangu under King Cetshwayo District Obuka. She is a twin and a third of six children at home. She is the only daughter in her home.
She is a mother to her son Sitsha Esihle. She studied at the University of South Africa where she did a Bachelor of Education but due to unforeseen circumstances, she dropped out while she was doing her second year. She was then served her teaching skill on oHlelo Combined School in Nkandla. She then left the school in 2009 and pursue a singing career where she released a single “Kwaze Kwamnandi”, which was the start of her singing career.
In 2010, she then started to pursue a radio career where she joined Icora FM where she was a newsreader. The following year she then found the luck to join Ukhozi FM auditions where he grabbed that opportunity and she eventually joined uKhozi at that time as a presenter.
She then took the opportunity to pursue a television career where she joined Uzalo as Samukelisiwe Keke Nzuza. She has played so many roles in different telenovelas including EHostela where she played the role of a mother who was grieving a lot. That role she played in Ehostela opened doors for her to be in Durban Gen where she is currently serving a role as Matron Nkabinde.
With her talent, she has also abstained so many awards as the affords of dedication in her job. She was nominated for the Best Actress category in the Sabela Mabhunu Awards in 2016. These awards put her name on the map.
In 2020, she was also nominated in the Sebenza Girl Awards who was found by Kini Shandu under, Best Female Radio Presenter and she won that award. She is not hiding her talent she once revealed that it always her dream to be on Television. At the moment she is living her dream as Nobuhle Nkabinde on Durban Gen where she is an uptight person very strict.
Zimdollar is not scared to speak her mind as at the beginning of the year 2020, she criticized Owen Ndlovu where listeners voted and tell them that R1,50 was not a big deal and she got herself in big trouble with Maskandi fans.
She is also in the taxi industry where she pushes her other side hustle. She has been in court with Ngizwe Mchunu’s sister because of the insult she was insulted. To others, she is an enemy because of the leadership skills she has.
