Instead of celebrating his Bafana Bafana call up, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune have received devastating news of the passing of his sister who died a painful death.
According to SunSportSA @SunSportSA, Khune’s younger sister, Mapula died after she burnt beyond recognition in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The cops in the North West Province confirmed the incident as they say they received a call that was alerting the about the fire and when they went to investigate, they found the back room on fire and they had to break down the door to gain entry.
“At 5am on Thursday we received a call about a lot of smoke coming from a backroom in Tshing. The police broke down the door and found a 27-year-old burnt inside the room. Unfortunately, the lady had already died when the police arrived,” the publication reports.
It has been put in perspective that the fire was not on the main house, but only the back room where the lady was sleeping caught fire and she burnt beyond recognition. The incident happened at their grandmother’s house in Venterdorp in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
