The late music’s buddy, 40-year-old rapper Khuli Chana, also known as Khulane Morule to his classmates and teachers, has thought back on their bond.
Khuli explained in an interview with The Sowetan that he was taken aback by the tragedy, especially since he had missed a call from AKA the day before the Durban murder.
Rapper AKA, born Kiernan Forbes, was shot and killed Friday in Durban, South Africa, theTimes (South Africa) reported. He was 35.
In addition, Khuli disclosed that he and AKA intended to film a music video for their most recent collaboration, Prada, which will appear on the next Mass Country album.
According to the Times, police sources in Durban stated that AKA was shot dead in a drive-by shooting. A person believed to be AKA’s bodyguard, per IOL, was also wounded. Another unidentified individual, who the outlet says is understood to be AKA’s close friend, has also been reported to be fatally shot. The Timesalso reported that AKA was standing outside a popular restaurant when he was gunned down in the shooting.
