Singer Kelly Khumalo says she will not return the money. KELLY Khumalo has put one foot on the ground.
The award-winning singer says she will not return the money requested by South African Heroines Awards founder Carol Mosiamo. she said she wouldn’t even perform for free at her next event. The
Daily Sun reported Thursday that Carol had requested the reimbursement of R30,000 she paid Kelly to perform at the awards on August 28 in Bloemfontein.
Carol claimed that Kelly arrived on the scene but did not go on stage; instead, she made a U-turn in the parking lot toward a hotel that she had reserved for her.
Carol said Kelly was originally booked to perform before 9 p.m. due to curfew. But through her manager Khotatso Tsotetsi Kelly sings a different tune.
Khotatso told the Daily Sun that Kelly was due to perform at 9 p.m. But while they were still waiting for the presentation, the place was evacuated without anyone communicating with her.
“Kelly will not return the money. There was a lack of communication from Carol. We spent money to travel to Bloemfontein and did her a favor by giving her a discount. She will definitely not allow her to perform for free, ”Khotatso said.
He also sent the conversations between himself and Carol to the Daily Sun asking for the money back.
Carol still wanted to get it back. “It didn’t work, which means it was paid for in vain. You have to return it or I will contact my Legal Department to take further action, ”he said.
The singer is making sure that she does not in anyway succumb or rather give in to pay the money as she’s putting a guard down to say that she will not be in Imani as of now and that is final.
