Malesela Teffo, the lawyer for four of the five accused people, said that a “witness” would say that Kelly shot Senzo “by accident.” He said, “An eyewitness will say that Nonhlanhla Kelly Khumalo shot Senzo Robert Meyiwa by accident,” and he said that the witness would say this.

Kelly’s lawyer, Magdalene Moonsamy, said they were shocked to hear that Kelly is being accused of killing Senzo by pulling the trigger.
