In the past week Zimbabweans have been ecstatic after they heard that Somizi will be coming to preform at a famous restaurant opening.
 

 

 
You know when they say you cant bring a good man down, they mean it and you should listen to them because it is the truth, Somizi has proved that point over and over again.

Somizi has had a really rough year, things have just been constantly taking turns for the worst. It all began with just one article and it almost destroyed his career. At the beginning of this year, Somizi was in almost every newspaper after the news of his divorce broke and that he had been abusing his husband mohale. He lost two of his jobs, he was fired at metro fm and idols.

As if that was not enough, a few days ago, Somizi was booked for a gig in Zimbabwe. Everything was going well and he was paid, well that was until he was banned to come that side because of his sexuality. He took to his Instagram to address his frustrations and many people were showing him support. The following day Somizi was in a flight to Namibia and he shamed the devil. His cousin Kelly Khumalo was obviously very happy for him and she was even hyping him up and Instagram and telling them to finish all of them.
Some Zimbabwean celebrities even posted on their accounts about how excited they were about the news. Things did not go according to plan however when Somizi was allegedly refused to go into Zimbabwe because if his. Zimbabwe has laws therefore there were said to be a group of people who refused for him to come into the country.

After a while the same company Garwe restaurant which had announced of the coming of Somizi announced that Kelly Khumalo a South African songstress will be coming to Zimbabwe instead of Somizi. Once again social media became abuzz as a lot of people are fans of Kelly Khumalo. they were so excited that she would be visiting their country.

Once more things fell apart just as they had the beginning. Apparently Kelly Khumalo upon hearing why Somizi had been banned from going to Zimbabwe she decide to stand in solidarity with him and turned down the offer thus refusing the money she had been paid. A lot of Zimbabweans were left devastated upon hearing the news as they were eagerly waiting to see her performing in Zimbabwe.

South Africans however were really proud of how their artists stand together and supported each other. Apparently Kelly Khumalo and Somizi have a very good friendship and therefore are very loyal to each other. Kelly is said to have reimbursed the money she had been paid when she cancelled and Somizi was paid 30% of her R250 000 for being cancelled.

It is said that an apostolic church claimed that Zimbabwe allowing Somizi to perform in Zimbabwe would cost ZANU pf votes in 2023 as Zimbabwe had really strong laws against “‘ The church is strongly against such an event in the series that Somizi is a hence according to our People driven Constitution Zimbabwe doesn’t tolerate “‘ said the church grouping
