Kaizer Chiefs star & his son broke into tears as Argentina defeated France to win World Cup

Former Kaizer Chiefs centre back defender Valery Nahayo and his six year old son Twite Prosper were among the tens of millions who rallied behind World Cup defending champions France when they faced Argentina at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday evening.


 

 

 

The La Albiceleste who were led by seven time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi stole the show in their sky blue and white jersey where they claimed their third FIFA World Cup title where they defeated France 4-2 on penalties following a 3-3 draw on extra time.

Ten thousands of football fans who rallied behind the Les Blues cried themselves hoarse on the stands at the Lusail Stadium and it was the same case when it came to Valery Nahayo and his son Twite Prosper who watched the match at the comfort of their family home.

What’s the story?

On Sunday evening, the former Kaizer Chiefs centre back defender took to his Instagram account where he shared photos where he and his son Twite Prosper were captured crying after Argentina were crowned as the 2022 FIFA World Cup champions and where the former footballer was captured consoling his son.

As part of his caption, the 38 year old Bujumbura born retired footballer wrote, “My boy did enjoy his first 2022 FIFA World Cup at 6 years old. He’s a big fan of France just like his father but the game decided the other way. I told him to stop crying but enjoy the moment of this 2022 World Cup. The rest is the love of the beautiful game”.
