The Malawian Government confirmed on Tuesday, yesterday, that the process to help self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary arrested has begun, now this comes after the South African government filed an extradition request last week.

There is a statement from Malawi’s minister of information Gospel Kazako as follows:

“THE attorney general is preparing to proceed for the signature of the minister of homeland security in Malawi. Once it is signed, it will be submitted to court for issuance of warrants of arrest by court. When that is done, prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife will be Arrested”, Said Malawi’s minister of information Gospel Kazako.

The minister also did add that everything will be dependent on the decision of the court on whether to issue the arrest warrant or not.

The Bushiri that skipped South Africa last month after they were granted bail in a fraud theft and money laundering case to the tune of about R100 Million, are getting closer and closer to getting extradited.
