In the midst of legal troubles and controversy, media personality Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye is standing firm, quoting Isaiah 54:17 and asserting that no weapon, lies, or scheming formed against him shall succeed.

Maarohanye recently appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court, facing charges of attempted murder, rape, and assault following an arrest warrant issued against him. However, he vehemently denied all allegations and was granted bail of R10,000 while insisting that he is a law-abiding citizen and the sole provider for his family.

Accompanied by his legal representative, Ntsako Baloyi of Baloyi Ntsako Attorneys, Maarohanye expressed surprise at the high bail amount. Baloyi assured that they were making arrangements to secure the required funds for his release.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) disclosed that the charges stem from incidents allegedly occurring between 2006 and 2009, as reported by a complainant who was in a relationship with Maarohanye. The woman decided to approach the police after hearing degrading comments about her on a podcast and witnessing others share their experiences of similar encounters with the media personality on social media.

 

 

 

Jub Jub, who hosts the popular TV show “Uyajola 9/9,” which focuses on exposing unfaithful partners, had previously faced controversy when Moja Love, the channel airing the show, fired him. Reports indicated that the termination was related to a dispute with his former business partner and potential violations of the channel’s anti-gender-based violence policy.

Despite calls for his suspension from the show, supporters have rallied behind Jub Jub. The channel, Moja Love, has taken a cautious stance, stating that they will allow the law to take its course.

Additionally, there have been ongoing discussions regarding an out-of-court settlement between Jub Jub and Moja Love, concerning a reported R100 million issue. While Jub Jub has returned to work with the channel, the matter remains unresolved.

The legal battle and controversy surrounding Jub Jub have left many eagerly waiting for further updates, as the media personality continues to assert his innocence and find support from his followers.
