‘It’s scary’: Lady Du calls on restrictions for rat poison sales

South African musician Lady Du is always sharing advice and imparting knowledge with her many fans and supporters on Instagram. In a recent post, the artist opened up about the recent spike in children suicides. In a tweet, she asked that restrictions be put in place when it comes to the sale of rat poison.

Local songstress Lady Du has been through over the last few years but continues to keep her head up.

The musician just headed online to highlight the dangers of selling harmful substances such as rat poison to underage children.

This after two school learners allegedly committed suicide using the pesticide.

According to her, there should be restrictions that stop underage children from buying the poison. She also asked that mental health awareness be prioritised in schools.

“Can we kindly take this rat poison issue seriously? We have a lot of kids committing suicide, it’s scary. Shops should stop selling rat poison to kids. It’s a trend, it’s scary. We need to act now @Lesufi, please. We need more awareness on mental health in schools,” she wrote on ”
