Gogo Skhotheni has unashamedly admitted to giving her husband korobela and that it’s worked wonders for their marriage. Isidliso or korobela is a love potion that many refer to as an “African love enhancer”.
The reality TV star, podcaster and DJ, recently featured in the Black Conversations dialogue about Black Love, alongside radio personality Felix Hlophe and Kaya 959 host, Mthokozisi “Mablerh” Cele discussing issues of black love, touching on the challenges black men have expressing love due to past trauma. The sangoma, gobela and mom said she used isidliso sothando to enhance the love between her and her husband.
Gogo Skhotheni, real name Patricia Motsoeneng, said she was very open about giving her husband, Monde Shange, the potion to enhance the love that already exists within her marriage. “I recommend isidliso. It has worked for me. It doesn’t kill- here is my man alive and kicking,” she ethused. “When my husband came to me, he already knew that he loved me and wanted to be with me. He wanted to make me his wife and we got married two months into the relationship,” she said. “I knew he loved me and I was tired of heartbreak and being mistreated by men, so I decided to give him isidliso to enhance the love that already existed. I didn’t add anything new and here we are today years later, going strong with children,” she added. “Isidliso sam singakhele umuzi (The love potion has built a home for me). Today, the family is growing.” She added that should her husband wish to do the same to her, she would be open to it. Gogo Skhotheni said many black men struggle to express love and how they feel in a relationship. “Men won’t buy flowers and will say ‘angiyislima mina’ (I’m no fool) but that is someone else’s love language.” She also touched on the importance of money in a relationship. “Money is important in love. Not millions but it helps.”According to renowned sangoma Gogo Manzini, isidliso sothando or korobela is a mixture of herbs that is used by one person so that he or she can take control over one’s feeling of love on the other. “So when I use Isidliso sothando on my partner, the herbs have properties of enhancing the feelings of love or passion to the other,” Gogo Manzini said. “It works in different ways and there are different types of isidliso. One can be used in the private parts so that when you meet, and become intimate, it has an effect and no one else has the same effect during lovemaking,” she added. “These herbs, mixwith your DNA; saliva, nails or discharge and any form of insila yakho. These days, some people even use menstrual blood. You give to your partner to consume or it can be added to food,” Gogo Manzini said that this can be used by both men and women.
