The newest addition to the Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) cast, Angel Ndlela, is already stirring up some drama and drawing comparisons to season three’s “mean girl” Sane Bhengu. It seems like Angel is following in Sane’s footsteps, but is she really living up to the hype?

From the moment Angel stepped onto the RHOD scene, tensions started to rise. She clashed with Slindile Wendy “Slee” Ndlovu and former cast member Londie London, and even gossiped about Annie Mthembu’s marriage to business mogul Kgolo Mthembu.

In just two episodes of the fourth season, Angel has already made quite the impression. She got into a heated argument with actress and presenter Zama Ngcobo, despite frequently referring to herself as “the baby” of the group.And during Maria Valaskatzis’ “gusbands party,” Angel took it upon herself to confront Neil, Maria’s new gusband, about throwing shade at Ruan, Maria’s ex-husband and Jojo Robinson’s gusband.

The comparisons to Sane Bhengu are rolling in from fans who are quick to criticize Angel’s behaviour. Some have labelled her as a “high-budget Sane” or a “Sane 2.0,” suggesting that she’s trying to fill the void left by the previous troublemaker. Others speculate that Angel was cast to bring the same drama that Sane did.
