This year has been such a good year on weddings, most especially on celebrities. We saw many celebrities walking the aisle, to say “I do” as they tied the knot.

What I have observed over the past two years and even to date, traditional weddings are becoming the best as there are so many traditional weddings taking place now.

 

 

 
It is becoming the thing of the past to have people wearing those expensive gowns and suits to the weddings as now they are wearing traditional regalias and have the best wedding ever which is filled with memories.

Perhaps it has really returned to our roots. Nonetheless, what we see on these traditional weddings is absolutely beautiful, you can not help but long for your own wedding too.

Before the year ends, the Queen of gospel, Rebecca Malope’s daughter ensured that we get a taste of the traditional wedding.

Noluthando ‘Nolu’ Malope is officially off the market as she said her ‘I do’ to the love of her life, Makgotso Mariha. Rebecca, who was beaming with excitement, took to social media and shared pictures of the wonderful ceremony of her daughter.

Malope also posted a picture of herself carrying a wedding cake and making that dance moves. In our African culture, the groom gives his mother in law the cake as a gesture of appreciation. Likewise, the bride does the same too, she gives her mother in law the wedding cake.

The two newly weds did exactly that, which is that picture that the Queen of gospel posted on her socials with the excitement.

Nolu, who is the media personality as well as she is the presenter, actress and singer, recently celebrated her umembeso.

“Congratulations to my daughter, who is now Mrs Makgotso Mariha. May God bless your union my children, I love you both. Kwakuhle kwethu,” Rebecca captioned her posts.

Nolu also posted the images on her social network as she was thanking her mother dr raising her and also declaring her love to her husband, Makgotso.

Rebecca has been raised Nolu alongside her two siblings since 1996 when her sister, Cynthia passed on.
