“It’s A Boy” Dali Mpofu Is Officially A Grandfather

Messages are pouring in to the family of advocate Dali Mpofu after a grandson was born on Thursday. Dali Mpofu’s son, Sizwe Mpofu announced the news of his son’s birth on social media.

He posted a photo while holding his son, whom they named Hakim Thembekile. As a young father, Sizwe Mpofu wished his son to grow in wisdom and kindness.

“Yesterday our beautiful son, Hakim Thembekile Mpofu-Walsh, was born. May you grow to be wise and just and kind,” he said.

Many are sending their congratulatory messages to the Mpofu family and wishing the baby well.

“Congratulations leader to you and Sumaya. Can’t wait to meet little Hakim. You are blessed brother man. Now, I can say, welcome to the dad’s club champ,” some said.

“Congratulations on the addition to the family. I know you will be an amazing father. The number of geniuses in Africa has just increased because of this birth. You are going to be an amazing father.”

Although people are sending messages in good faith, some are already questioning why the baby will also have to carry double surnames.

They feel it’s so unnecessary that a child will have two names and on top of that have double surnames.

Dali Mpofu is however a proud grandfather and those who are closer to him and his family, said theirs is one of the most diverse families who tolerate each other and are not afraid to reflect it to the world.

Some Economic Freedom Fighters said Dali Mpofu is finally a grandfather and they wish him well on this amazing journey with his grandson.

“Congratulations fighter! Advocate Dali Mpofu you’re a mkhulu now, congratulations the people’s advocate,” they said.

Perhaps, the grandson of the ‘people’s advocate’ Dali Mpofu will also receive the title of ‘people’s grandson’ when he starts hanging out with his grandfather, only time will tell.
