For some years now, the Ferguson films was seen dominating South African screens. Ferguson Films is a production company owned by power couple Shona & Connie Ferguson.

Their productions included Rockville, iGazi, The Gift, The Throne, The Herd, The Queen, The River and The Imposter. In 2020, they produced a Netflix six-part series called Kings of Joburg.

 

Local TV channel Mzansi Magic has announced that they are parting ways with The Queen, produced by Ferguson Films, and the last episode will air on January 13 next year.

This is very bad news to Connie Ferguson whom is the Director of the production since her husband had just passed away last year. The show which is produced by Ferguson Films will not be renewed for another season and will come to an end by December 2022 according to Phil Mphela.

Now South Africans are divided with some happy that the show will be ending and others are saying they are not.
