To our surprise, one of Mzansi’s most-loved television shows, Skeem Saam has lost almost a million in viewership numbers. This according to a report by Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela.

According to his post, the drama lost a staggering 800k viewers in the last two months. Skeem Saam pulled in 6, 72 million viewers in September which dropped to 5,9 million viewers in October.

However, it’s not unusual for shows to have a decline in viewership numbers. We’re projecting that the numbers will go up again this month as the current storyline has viewers hooked. If you’ve been following the drama lately, you’ll know that Nimza is embroiled in a sexual harassment case. Buhle Maseko’s character has been harassing Pretty Seakamela’s by making sexually suggestive comments and sometimes harassing her physically.

Turf High’s sexual harassment committee has been handling the matter and viewers have been glued to their screens to see how the whole thing will turn out.
Spoiler Alert! In last night’s episode, Pretty submitted her evidence report proving that Nimrod Kunutu did indeed harass her sexually. Nimza then snuck into Professor John Muputla’s office to steal the files. However, he wasn’t aware that the University has cameras everywhere.
Skeem Saam is created by Winnie Serite and airs on SABC since 2011. The soapie is set in Turfloop, Limpopo and in Johannesburg. The plot follows the lives of the residents in Turf navigating through everyday life and climbing the ladder to success. The also follows the glamourous Johannesburg life and how they handle challenges in the business world. Skeem Saam is known as the first-ever show that ever really gave Generations a run for its money.
