Phumlani’s character has been a mystery for a long time.When he joined the telenovela Gomora it was unclear as to what his intentions were.He found out who murdered his brother and yet he didn’t show revenge intentions.Intstead he became a saviour that was needed by Thati and Buhle which became very questionable in the beginning as the time goes by everyone let their guards down.

However, Phumlani’s character is still very vague.Kudos to Buyile Mdladla for embodying the character of Phumlani.He is now inseparable from him, he birthed Phumlani and is naturing him on each and every episode.He is giving a definition of being a true actor who leaves no stone unturned.Fans have a love hate opinions about him which is no different from any other characters.

It is ironic how things have turned around for him.One thing that has remained constant is his love or obsession for Thathi.He portrays a very confident man but he also has his fears when it comes to Melusi.Does this mean his love would never be enough for Thathi?Did he buy his way into Thathi’s heart?Is he a wolf in a sheep skin?

One thing about him is that he is very good in hiding his trails.He gets other people to do all the dirty work on his behalf.Indeed nothing stays hidden for a long time.Phumlani’s true colours are starting to come out.Will he be able to buy his way out after slapping Thathi?Will his money buy him trust and forgiveness back from Thathi?The twist is very interesting as Thathi is a bold and vocal character.The main question is what will she do?
