Inside The Funeral Of Mahotella Queen Veteran Musician Nobesuthu Mbadu

The country was left in reeling following the death of one of the well known South African musician Nobesuthu Mbadu who passed away on the 31st of August 2021.She was a member of the Mahotella Queens. This is South African musical group created in Durban. They are famously known for their song ” Mbumbe, Gazette and Melodi ya Lla”. The music star passed away at the age of 76 after suffering from kidney failure. Many can tell that this is a great loss to the music industry in South Africa. She is one of the people who played a vital role in uplifting the music industry of South Africa.
 

 

 

 

“It’s very hard for us to come to terms with her passing. We are devastated because although she was sick, she was still fit and gaining back her weight. I’d like to thank everyone who supported us during this difficult period” Says Nkululeko Mchunu.

Her death has broken the hearts of many people into pieces. The remaining member Hilda Tloubatla has remembered her as a fighter and selfless person she was. ” I could speak the whole day about this strong and loving woman. She was like a sister to me and we were inseparable. I am going to miss her and the prayer warrior she was. She would always advise us to pray before going to the stage” she says

The 76 years old Nobesuthu Mbadu was laid to rest yesterday at South Park Cemetery Hermiston IN Ekurhuleni.Friends and families have already sent their condolences to the family during this difficult time. Indeed her presence is going to be dearly missed more especially in the music industry as she played a big part in uplifting the industry and helping others to find their dreams .
