King of Eswatini Makhosetive Dlamini recently turned 55 and as part of tradition, great celebrations must be held in his honor. It is usually a national celebration with guests from all over. However this time they opted for an intimate event with family and close friends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This day is also a public holiday, meaning that it’s a day off for the general population and many places are closed on this day. Government offices and schools are closed, as are most banks and retail outlets.

We’ll be looking at the celebration party and those who attended.

The king’s best friend, former President of Botswana Ian Kama, was in attendance and sat with him on his table.

The King ‘s mother Ntombfi Thwala and his first wife Queen LaMbikiza were there.

King Misizulu’s wife Queen Nozizwe Mulela Zulu also attended.

Close friends were there.

All the king’s children were in attendance.
