Nonkanyiso Conco – popularly known as LaConco came in guns blazing into the entertainment industry after being casted on the Real Housewives Of Durban. Besides that she’s known as a controversial figure after it was reported that she once dated with Jacob Zuma. After the show she went on to showcase her entrepreneurship skills to start LaConco Naturals – a range of the skin products that have been crafted for Black woman. From being known as the former presidents youngest wife to creating her own name as the CEO of LaConco Naturals and Sikhanyisa iSizwe, she’s been around to tell the story. She described herself as someone that is very ambitious and driven. Having a degree in journalism and media law communication sciences, she found no fulfillment (which was also fueled by being underpaid).

Making it to the Real Housewives

After making her first onscreen appearance on the Cheeky Palate, producers of the Real Housewives Of Durban approached her. When you think about the show its all about luxury, big houses, cars and money – she felt out of place. The phrase “Google Me” gained popularity because her life has been narrated by a lot of people and false theories took form.

OPINION

All in all, i loved the entire interview because it shared different parts of her life. From humble beginnings, controversies and venturing into the business world. On the last season of the show I’ve seen a lot of comments on social media with people stating that she’s very secretive. A couple of months ago she introduced LaConco Naturals, became the host of Mzansi Magic’s Ingane Yam and made cameo appearances on Makoti. This shows that your life can change overnight.
