Imani from Muvhango, Zonke Mcunu, is a 28-year-old actress and model who was born in KwaZulu Natal. During her school years, she focused on acting and relocated to Durban. However, due to financial constraints, she was unable to pursue her passion for civil engineering in college.

Zonke became a choir member at her church in Uzalo, where one day the Lord introduced himself as Duma ka Ndlovu. She attended his lectures regularly, and it was there that he encouraged her to audition for the role of Imani. Fortunately, she landed the part.

Despite being referred to as Gugu on Muvhango and being Buka Mina’s cousin, Zonke and her co-star get along well in real life and are like sisters. However, there are rumors that she engages in sexual activities with any man who shows interest, causing some girls in Muvhango to avoid her.
