If what Dr. Nandipha is saying about Bester is true, listen to what he has to say

Dr. Nandipha Magudumana says Thabo Bester forced him to flee the country with him.

Magudumana raised allegations that she was forced out of the country by her lover, Bester.

When he applied for bail at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court, Magudumana said that on 17 March 2023, Bester threatened him and forced him into a car, taking him out of the country without his consent.

Reading from Magudumana’s affidavit, advocate Frans Dlamini explained in detail how he resisted Bester’s demands but finally agreed because of the threats he received.

She explained that she felt defenseless and helpless at that time with no one to help her.

Afraid of the consequences, Magudumana did what Bester said, which led him to cross the border against his will.

Magudumana emphasized that he did not voluntarily leave South Africa and has no reason to leave.

He said his departure was due to threats and he could not control the situation.

In addition, Magudumana said she has two children to take care of and has no history of violence.

He said his release on bail would not endanger public safety and vowed to go to court faithfully and ensure he was present during his trial.

Prosecutor Sello Matlhoko stated that the state does not support the bail request.

Previously, Magudumana had opposed his arrest and repatriation to the country when he was arrested in Tanzania, saying it was illegal.

Judge Phillip Loubser denied his request on June 5 but noted that the state’s actions amounted to “extradition” rather than “deportation.”
