The South African Police Service (SAPS) employee Warrant Officer Thapelo has won the season 18 of Idols on Sunday.

The show was held at Heartfelt Arena in Tshwane.

In a previous interview with News24, Molomo said he was inspired to enter the singing competition because he felt “very much ready” to contest for the coveted title. “I believe this is my season,” he said.

 

After the show, Minister Bheki Cele went to talk to him and ask a few questions. He asked him if he thought that he would win.

And jokingly asked him when is Thapelo coming back to work. The video was captured by Cele’s spokesperson Lerandzu Themba.
