Dineo has proven to be multi-talented, and viewers were thrilled to see her on the competition show, where she did an excellent job judging the top eight.

Viewers of South African Idols Have Had Enough

Idols SA viewers have been underwhelmed in recent weeks following Somizi’s departure, claiming that the show’s standard has dropped. Producers hoped that a slew of guest judges would save the show, but Somizi’s own brand of entertainment kept Mzansi glued to their televisions.

There were guest judges, but they failed to impress or hold the attention of their devoted viewers. Tweeps expressed their dissatisfaction with the show, guest judges, and performances on social media. It wasn’t until Dineo Ranaka arrived that the show was saved!

Monique, who was eliminated from the competition show, kicked off the festivities with a bittersweet note. The remaining eight, who were chosen by over 5 million people, sang with zeal, and Dineo was able to judge them appropriately.

Randall appears to have found a new favorite on the competition show, claiming that he has never seen anyone like her before. After performing Soa Matrix and Soulful G’s Uthando, it was Nqobie’s performance that sealed the deal for Randall. He complimented her on her coolness and said she didn’t try too hard to win. He said, “I’ve never seen somebody like you on the television.”

There would only be 9 contestants left if it weren’t for Ithana’s decision to withdraw from the competition while in the top ten. The 22-year-old slipped out of the top 10 owing to medical issues, according to M-Net local channel entertainment director Nomsa Philiso.

“On behalf of M-Net, we wish her a quick recovery. It’s awful that she won’t be able to compete any longer, but her health comes first. “I’m sure this isn’t the last time we see her on our televisions in South Africa,” she said.

Viewers were ready to abandon Idols, claiming that they were uninteresting. Concerned followers flooded his social media comments area, wishing for him to make a comeback. Viewers went from expressing their dissatisfaction to threatening to never watch Idols again, and it was all action, not just talk.
