Kairo Forbes – the daughter of rapper AKA – will celebrate her first Christmas without her famous father. And in remembrance of the sombre occasion, the young girl has shared a touching tribute.

The muso – alongside friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane – in February by unknown gunmen. To date, no arrests have been made.In the Instagram post, Kairo Forbes recreated a special pose by her dad. In it, she stood in front of a South African flag, just as he had.

 

“I am my father’s child,” the bittersweet caption read.

As suggested in the pic, the star was incredibly patriotic and used any occasion to celebrate his country.Kairo – whose mother is DJ Zinhle – shared another post about visiting a special memorial for her father.

In 2022, AKA celebrated Christmas surrounded by his family. They included his mom Lynn Forbes, girlfriend Nadia Nakaia, nd daughter Kairo Forbes. Joining them was also Nadia’s parents and AKA’s brother and his partner.

According to his mom Lynn, it was the first – and last Christmas – the rapper did not spend working.
