Another South African entertainer has fallen on hard times.

This time it’s gospel legend Lusanda Mcinga who is asking for donations on social media.

Mcinga, known for her Lusanda Spiritual Group and playing her guitar, said the Covid-19 pandemic had dealt her a big financial blow which had affected her health.

 

 

 

The bank had repossessed all her cars.

Mcinga is the mother of gospel star Betusile Mcinga, who is riding high with his hit single Ngena Noah.

Mcinga said she yearned to record music today as much as she had when she first recorded in 1995.

“Since Covid-19, my health has never been the same. But through it all I want to leave this world knowing I have closed my file in the music industry.”

Bank details appear in the video, but the Dispatch team was unable to reach Mcinga to confirm whether the account was hers.

Betusile said he was also trying to get hold of her. He declined to discuss her financial woes.

Mcinga’s manager, Siyabonga “Holy Man” Ndumbu, was said to be rushing to her Mthatha home to check on her. The Dispatch team was unable to reach him on his phone.

Gallo sales and product manager Goodwill Nkuna said Lusanda Spiritual Group was no longer signed to Gallo Record Company.
