Themba “Sonny boy” Sekowe affectionately known as Dj Maphorisa is a record label owner and music producer. He has worked with numerous international artists like Drake, Beyonce, Wizkid, and more.

The controversial artist was born on 15 November 1987 and is currently 32 years turning 33. The prominent Dj’s career is booming as he is reported that he charges from R120k as his booking fee. Reportedly he grew up in a town in Pretoria called Soshanguve. He was raised by his mother who introduced him to music as she was in ministry.

Little is known about his father but rumors are that his dad is Nigerian. He hardly talks about him in the public and judging by his appearance a lot of people also thinks that he is Nigerian.

As much as he is a successful artist, he has been involved in numerous scandals. Recently he warned his fans that there is a fake account that is using his name and he suspected that the people are involved in human trafficking.

Yesterday he was slammed on social media for dating young girls after a quarrel erupted on Twitter where two girls were fighting for him.
