“My mum told me that I used to play in front of the mirror a lot, acting. And whenever I would see a child playing a role on TV, I’d always say I could do that as well and do it even better than that person. So she looked for an agent for me and when she found one, we went for auditions.

“I did everything they asked me to do and I became an actress,” she said. She said she enjoys acting on House of Zwide and working alongside big stars such as Vusi Kunene, Winnie Ntshaba, Motlatsi Mafatshe, and Jeffery Sekele.

“The past year has been so amazing. We have all become a big family, even though they are big actors. What I like about the actors is that although they’re stars, they don’t have any big egos.”

The new season of House of Zwide kicked off last month and Karabo said people will be glued to their screens because it’s so interesting.
