The name Alostro has become somehow famous one social media. In particular TikTok.

While South Africans were busy battling against the raging Covid-19 storm, a man named Alostro stole the show and he became an instant celebrity.

While one man was speaking, Alostro tried to chime in, but to this day, nobody can make what he was trying to say. The video went viral and the unknown word he mentioned, “Alostro”, became his celebrity name.

Alostro is now a house hold name in South Africa and he has claimed his throne among celebrities.

But what really made Alostro famous?

He said something like: “Others they gonna na, they are see others here, they have alostro. What is now?” And was pushed out of the crowd.

South Africans forgot about the Covid-19 storm and they burst out in a hubbub of laughter.

Alostro had made his point. He had given South Africans a reason to laugh and he became an instant celebrity.

Looking back, he does not view his embarrassing moment as an embarrassment but an opportunity which opened doors for him.

People from all parts of Tshwane townships make time to drive around Bloed Street Mall looking for Alostro to get his commentary.
