A South African rapper AKA says he hopes the outcome of a lawsuit filed by his client will be a lesson to various people in the entertainment industry.

The hip hop star AKA has issued a statement following a court ruling issued on Monday.

He took the matter to court following news that last year he would no longer be part of The Braai Show , on SABC1, the first season he presented and revealed that he owned shares in the show.

The recording company of Cake Media and MakhuduCom , has revealed that they have chosen to have a new presenter, Cassper Nyovest, as the show is theirs.

They point out that AKA, has nothing to do with the second season, as he is no longer part of them.

AKA, on the other hand, claimed to be part of the founding team and was unaware that it was shooting its second season, which he said shocked him when he saw it in the media.

AKA took the matter to court, as they continued to show it since he had pleaded not to play it.

In a statement issued after the court ruling in his favor, he said he was happy with the court’s decision.

“I have received confirmation that I am one of the owners of The Braai Show . Justice has been served on this issue as the basis for it has been that things have been done fairly in business and my rights have been respected. What has happened to us is that we continue to be dissatisfied with our work. I am happy that the outcome of the case was in my favor as I am one of the owners of the program and nothing can happen without me, ”said AKA.

He said as everything became clear, he would continue to fight for his own interests against those who tried to overthrow him.
