The shocking image, which was filmed by a slew of press cameras and film crews, saw Advocate Dan Teffo being encircled by SAPS officers and rushed out of the courtroom. The high-octane scene has been compared to something straight out of a Hollywood script. Teffo, who has been active throughout the Senzo Meyiwa trial, has unwittingly become the day’s most talked-about topic.

We’re still attempting to figure out why this strange incident occurred. Another lawyer in the courtroom commented that apprehending Teffo in this manner was “done in the wrong place, at the wrong time.” We’ve learned that the advocate was supposed to testify in another court case in which he was the defendant. Teffo neglected to show up due to a schedule difficulty, and the long-arm of the law went for him right away.

Officers detained and confined Teffo while he was fully robed and still had his papers in hand. He claims that he was not read his rights, and that the reason for his arrest was not divulged at the time of his arrest.
