He’s back! Rassie trolls Kiwi critic, World Rugby after historic win

After retaining the title of Rugby World Cup champions – despite a series of setbacks during the competition – Springboks boss Rassie Erasmus is having the last laugh at his critics.

The SA Rugby director used his Twitter account to troll some of the country’s naysayers following South Africa’s historic win.

On his Twitter account, Rassie Erasmus fired shots at New Zealand rugby commentator Ben Smith, who has been vocal in his criticism of the Springboks.

“Sleep lekker sheep,” he replied to a tweet from Smith.Earlier this month, Smith suggested that South Africa was part of the “Northern Hemisphere” of countries in the World Cup. According to the outspoken commentator, this was because many Springboks played in European and Japanese clubs.

Rassie swiftly responded with a clapback, calling him a sheep.

“At least we’re all South African,” he added.

SWIPE AT WORLD RUGBY TOO
With one shady swipe done, Rassie Erasmus focused his attention on another – World Rugby management.

In a move that had Springboks fans in hysterics, the 50-year-old changed his Twitter profile picture to that of World Rugby vice-president Agustin Pichot.
