Dr. Nandipha Magudumana filed an appeal with the Free State High Court to have her arrest ruled unconstitutional. In the court documents, Magudumana asserts that South African authorities kidnapped her in Tanzania.
Twelve criminal counts against the well-known doctor relate to his role in Thabo Bester’s prison break.
Dr. Nandipha Magudumana, Thabo Bester’s putative partner, has filed an urgent court motion to have her arrest and deportation ruled unlawful.
On April 7, Bester and Magudumana were detained in Arusha, Tanzania, which is 10 kilometers from the Kenyan border.
In the documents she submitted to the Free State High Court, Magudumana described her arrest as an abduction, according to EWN.
In connection with Bester’s spectacular escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre in May 2022, the famous doctor is accused.
According to TimesLIVE, Maguduma wants the court to drop all 12 criminal charges dropped which include aiding and abetting a convicted criminal.
She currently has not applied for bail and is being detained at the Krooonstad Prison.
