Donald grew up in Rusternburg, South Africa in a christian family. He started singing in the church choir at the age of 8 years. He also sang during school events.

Donald’s was signed to DJ Cleo’s Wills of Steel in 2010 and he released his debut album ‘Know You Better’ which flopped. In 2011 he opened his D-Exclusive record label and dropped his second album ‘Train of Love” which was successful . The album included tracks like the hit ‘I deserve’, ‘Denial and ‘Over the moon’. As a result of the success of ‘Train of Love’, Donald was the most nominated artist at the 2013 Metro FM Music Awards. He was nominated for Best Produced Album, Best Video, Best Male, and Best Dance Album.In 2014 he released the album Black and White which was certified Gold. The year 2015 saw train of Love being certified a Platinum selling album. Furthermore, Donald released ‘Something More in 2017 and its success was relative. Again in 2019 he dropped his much anticipated album ‘Her name is”. The album was a reflection on Donald’s past love experiences; both good and bad. In 2020 Donald released a single titled ‘Thixo and is expected to drop videos for tracks from “her name is”. Through out his career Donald has worked with artists such as Kelly Khumalo, Dream Team and Bucie.
