When DJ and presenter Lerato Kganyago announced that she and husband Thami Ndlala had separated, she became a trending topic on social media.

This comes two months after the then-lovebirds tied the knot in a lavish traditional ceremony attended by family and close friends. Lerato posted a statement about the separation on Instagram. “We have nothing more to say on the subject, and hope that our privacy will be respected during this difficult time,” she wrote in the now-private post.But that wasn’t to be, instead social-media users had a lot to say about the end of their union. This became worse after false allegations of businessman Thami being a conman and serial fraudster started surfacing.

While some users were mean to her, there were those who sympathised with the DJ. Some went as far as giving Lerato advice on how to protect her finances since speculation became rife that she had married in community of property.
