Mpilo Mdabe is the son of Mzansi’s actress, Phumeza Mdabe and husband, Shota Mdabe. Mpilo unlike any other child with no disease, was born with a cancer of the eye called Bilateral Retinoblastoma. He had dark abnormal pupils and being diagnosed with cancer , he was forced to have his eyes removed to be replaced with prosthetic eyes fitted.

His condition got worse at one year old and that’s when he began his medical journey. He started with Chemo then later removed his first eye. However, it wasn’t easy for Mpilo as he went through six cycles of Chemo without having Cancer cleared until it finally cleared.

Mpilo Mdabe has since been doing well and today he is turning eight year’s old. Both his parent’s took to social media to share with the public about his birthday.

Former Isidingo actress,Phumeza Mdabe on Instagram posted his picture, wished him a happy birthday and thanked God for his life.

Your crown birthday, you turn 8 on the 8th of the 8th month. 888 Angel number says that your life purpose is fully supported by the universe. The universe is abundant and generous and wishes to reward you”, actress Phumeza Mdabe on Instagram said.

“We thank God for your life, i speak blessings and abundance in your new year. This year is going to be a special one for you, i can feel it. Thank you for choosing me to be your mother in this lifetime. At your age, you always offer me your jacket when i feel cold. I’m so blessed, i love you “, Phumeza added.
