L-Tido Biography
South African born hip hop artist, L-Tido born as Thato Madonsela, is well known for his mixtape City of Gold. He was one of the few independent artists in the country to reach commercial success, winning the Best Newcomer in Africa award at the 2010 Channel O Music Video Awards and receiving numerous other award nominations.

His solo album All or Nothing only sold 8 hard copies, he was managed by Vusi Leeuw at the time.L-Tido Early Life
L-Tido was born and raised with a single mother in Gauteng, South Africa as the only child. He credits his mother for instilling religious values in him. He went to a Catholic church called Roma with his mother.

L-Tido Career
He started his music career in 2009 whereby he released, marketed and distributed his mixtape City of Gold all by himself. It received a lot of recognition, with a number of songs being played on several radio stations and topping various music videos and radio charts. This success led to him winning the Channel O Award for Most gifted Newcomer awards with lots of other nominations.In June 2011, the rapper released his first album All or Nothing. Th album explained his journey to music and all he had to go through to reach where he was. The album topped musical charts in South Africa and French’s channel Trace TV’s Africa Top 10 charts.

L-Tido is known for directing, releasing and marketing his own music and videos. He was nominated in Channel O for the Best video and Metro Fm award for his song featuring Teargas’KO called “We Rollin”
