Ivory Coast-based defender Mzokhona Ngezana has revealed how his brother Siyabonga at Kaizer Chiefs helped him quit his job as an electrical technician to pursue his dream in football.
Defender Mzokhona is the second South African player to turn out in Ivory Coast after former Orlando Pirates midfielder Bennett Chenene.
Sebokeng-born Ngezana worked for Marcopolo Bus Company to help feed the family before he was spotted by Chenene during a festive season tournament in Vaal.
Chenene then recommended the 27-year-old to his bosses at Williamsville, but it was his brother’s success with Amakhosi that allowed him the freedom to move.
