Phila Madlingozi (born 26 October 1989) is a South African actor, singer, songwriter and filmmaker.He starred in the SABC 1 drama series, Mutual Friends as Thabiso, Jafta Mamabolo and Luthuli Dlamini. Phila Madlingozi also starred in the Mzansi Magic drama series, Isikizi, alongside Zandile Msutwana and Tina Jaxa. He appeared on the second season of InterSEXions. He most recently starred on Mzansi Magic’s The Queen (South African TV series) as Schumacher’s troubled younger brother, Buntu.
He is the son of legendary South African musician Ringo Madlingozi.

Career
Phila Madlingozi is a recording artist having released singles and colloborated with numerous artists including DJ AJ, son of famed Kwaito legend Arthur Mafokate. In 2016 he released a single titled Cinderella. In 2017 he recorded and released a theme song for the Mzansi Magic drama series, Isikizi. Phila Madlingozi was part of the collective that worked on Dreams. B. Plenty.
In 2018, he won a Golden Horn award for Best Achievement in Original Music/ Score on TV Drama for Isikizi season two, at the 2018 South African Film and Television Awards. [1]
