Shona Ferguson was born in Gaborone in the country of Botswana. His father being Peter Ferguson. He has tremendous love for his parents as shown by how much he gushes over how lucky he is to have them in his life

A man of many talents, Shona started his career as a club DJ in Lesotho back in 1992. He then moved back to Botswana where he then ended up working in Information Technology. Starting off as a sales man then he rose up the ranks to become a well to do businessman with many awards.

He then moved to South Africa where he landed his first role on generations as Ace. In April 2006, he started acting on Muvhango as Dr Leabua and gained fame from the role. In March 2007 he left the show. After this he appeared on The Wild for 3 years before setting his sights on production work.
