999 Music was founded in 1992 by Arthur Mafokate. Over the years, numerous artists and their songs under the record label have become famous, including by Chomee, Toffolux by Pinky Pinky, Amadlozi by Speedy, and more. Arthur is said to have given his son the chairman and supervisor title at the record company.

“Only God knows whether he is ready or not,” Arthur was quoted as saying.

As the new CEO of 999 Music, one of the first things on AJ’s to-do list is to hire new staff.

“I expect growth, revival, and sustainability…I want to see my legacy restored,” Arthur reportedly added.
