Gugulethu mall furniture shop looted watch residents running with furniture on the streets

A shop was looted in Gugulethu mall. It is not clear if they are the taxi drivers who broke into the furniture store today at approximately 01:12 pm. Community members are gathering at the mall to help themselves but police arrived at the scene to control the situation.


 

Just in one day they are massive reports today linked to the protest. Death, damage of property, setting alight of vehicles and stoning of motorists including looting. The chaos that is currently taking place in Cape Town is uncontrollable the city officials need to settle the conflict with the taxi association.

Reportedly, People were chased out of the mall by the taxi drivers says they do not want to see any one in the mall or any car. People were complying and leaving when suddenly they broke into a furniture shop and People were caught on camera running around with TV, fridges and more furniture.

Allegedly, this is crime no longer protest People are taaking advantage of the situation to push their own agenda in the city. People need to remain home until the situation is settled and there’s a video showing a group of pupils taking the streets in Cape Town and the motive is unclear.

The protest in Cape Town is massive and dangerous this is what residents must be aware of that. It is a risk to go out using your own vehicle and giving someone a ride it is worse. Stay home and informed your bosses about the on going protest and go back to work as soon as the protest is over.
