VIEWERS of Mzansi Magic’s drama series, DiepCity will be excited at the news reported about their favour soap.

DiepCity, produced by award winning creator and director of Lockdown, Mandla N, under his production company, Blackbrain pictures. It started on 5th April this year as it replaced Isibaya on Mzansi Magic at 20:30 slot.

 

 

 

With only three months being on air, it is already on fire as it has people talking non stop about it and complimenting the quality production delivered by this soap with its star-studded cast. This soap has the best, crème de la crème cast which includes seasoned Actress, Dawn Thandeka King and Former Rhythm City actor, Mduduzi Mabaso.

It is surely proving to be a big competition for SABC 1 soap, Uzalo.

Now, on more exciting news for this new soap, is the new renowned legendary actress who is set to join the family of DiepCity. Indeed, it was without a doubt that DiepCity have caught a big fish, knowing the quality this actress is and how she impress with her performance on site.

It is with excitement to reveal that Former Generation’s actress, Sonia Mbele will be joining DiepCity and it has been confirmed.

Sonia, use to play the role of Ntombi Dlomo, who was married to Sbusiso ‘Ngamla’ Dlomo on the old Generations. The two, Ntombi and Sbusiso use to excel on serving the on screen couple goals and you had to stan it, they did it so good to the extent that they made us envy them and feeling like marriage is definitely such a good thing. They potrayed their characters very well and indeed impressed Mzansi.

Sadly, Sonia had to leave what she loved the most, acting. She revealed late last year that her ex husband, Leslie Sedibe, made her leave acting. Apparently Leslie was so jealous and could not stand seeing her having such a romantic relationship on screen with Sbusiso’Ngamla’Dlomo, a character played by Menzi Ngubane.

Eventually, Sonia and Leslie ended up divorcing after he was also physically abusing her, she decided to call it quit and moved out of their abusive marriage.

It just so good to see her returning back on screen and we just can not wait to watch her.

The announcement of Sonia joining DiepCity follows Thobani Nzuza who has also announced to be joining this soap. Thobani (28)was the lead actor of the very interesting Mzansi Magic’s drama, Hostela where he played the role of Mndeni.

Sonia will be playing the role of a sultry yet fierce Zola, a character that is set to première tomorrow, on Tuesday the 27th of July.
