Gogo Skhotheni is currently protesting outside Harrismith KFC, saying the cashiers told her trainees to wear proper clothes if they want to be served.
The controversial traditional healer made a live video on Facebook which showed how tense the situation was. She said her trainees, whom she refers to as her “kids”, went to KFC. Upon arrival, they were told to take off their shoes, which they did. Skhotheni says they were not offended because this is a normal practice for them. They are very much aware that shoes need to be taken off before entering a room.
According to Skhotheni, they paid for their ordered meals. However, they were not given change. When they enquired about that, the cashiers told them to take off their traditional attire if they want to eat at the chicken outlet. Skhotheni says she was not there when this happened but went there immediately after getting a call.
She claims that they closed the door on her face when she wanted to confront the KFC employees. These are people who have a problem with me. “I don’t mind people disliking me but they must never mistreat my kids”, she said. They are currently outside protesting.
